The designer notes that that this sampler was inspired by a tatterered sampler from England. It was designed to be stitched with either the alphabet or words from a favorite Christmas song, "Oh Holy Night", written in 1847.
Designer's model is stitched on 36 ct Toggenburg Farmhouse Linen by Farm Girl Dry Goods. Stitch count 272 x 132.
