"Wyoming Valley School" was designed and pieced by Barb Voss and quilted by Marilyn Olson for Country Sampler. The completed quilt measures 48" x 48". Ideal size for table topper or wall hanging.
This quilt was named after the Wyoming Valley School near Spring Green, WI. In 1956, Frank Lloyd Wright donated two acres of land and a design for a small elementary school to the Wyoming Valley School District. In 1957, the school opened. Though the building stood empty from 1990-2010, it was reopened in 2011 as a non-profit arts and cultural center. The Wyoming Valley School Cultural Arts Center continues to foster Wright's original educational mission to this day.
This kit includes the fabrics needed for the quilt top and the binding. Fabrics are from the Frank Lloyd Wright Collection by Cloud9 Fabrics. The pattern "Wyoming Valley School" is sold separately. 3 1/4 yards of backing fabric is also needed.
