BENEZET ALPHABET SAMPLER Pattern
"Benezet Alphabet Irish Sampler" is an antique reproduction sampler by Cross Stitch Antiques. The designer stitched the model on 40 count linen and the stitch count is 130 wide X 155 high.
No clues have been provided by the stitcher as to her name or year of origin. The only clue as to the place might be in the lettering she used, giving one an indication it was stitched in Ireland..A slightly surprising source of lettering which became identifiable on Irish Quaker school samplers, came to be known as the Benezet lettering.
