A sampler reproduction by Ruthie Taylor of Crowsfeetstitching. The stitch count is 232 W x 316 H. 

From the Designer:
  • Christiana was born in 1837 in Walkington, near Beverley, East Yorkshire. She stitched her sampler quite late into her teens, in fact only a year before she was married. 
  • The sampler is stitched in full cross stitch, with a small amount of backstitch for outlining the gentlemen's eyes. It is suitable for aida and linen. The sampler is charted for DMC and overdyed floss. The colours are taken from the front of the sampler. As the sampler is slightly faded, I have chosen the threads to match where the colour is strongest.
